Selecting caffeine pouch materials

Selecting caffeine pouch materials

Review pouch material identity, contact suitability, feel, seal strength and leakage. Define what needs checking with your formulation and packaging.

Product and process concepts

Caffeine pouch nonwoven material

Specify composition, grade, dimensions, basis weight where relevant and the contact-suitability documentation for the intended use. Fiber feel and visual whiteness do not prove chemical suitability, biodegradability or regulatory acceptance.

Caffeine pouch seal strength

Seam geometry, forming conditions and fill contamination can affect integrity. Pressed-edge and ultrasonic constructions should be evaluated against their own process and material. Include leakage and handling behavior, not just an attractive seam appearance.

Keep disposal instructions specific

A nonwoven pouch is different from a dissolving film. Do not assume the bag should dissolve or be swallowed. Product instructions and disposal information must fit the actual material and the target market.
